The Parts Warehouse Associate is responsible for providing and expediting repair parts required by the service department field and shop technicians. 

Essential Functions:

• Receive parts orders from the Service Department filed and shop technicians. Such orders may be submitted from the field and may include part numbers and descriptions or only descriptions.
• Create a parts document to order parts for the shop assuring that the correct part numbers are entered for the specific model and serial number of the machine or component involved.
• Advises the appropriate Service Department personnel which parts are in stock, which have to be backordered from the mainland, including the estimated time of arrival of backordered parts.
• When specific items are not available from the Parts Department, or to avoid excessive travel time by field mechanics, orders parts from local suppliers.
• By phone, informs field technicians where to pick up parts ordered from local suppliers. 
• Prepares purchase orders for purchases from local suppliers using the open document as the purchase order.
• When the part is received from the local supplier, completes document by inputting correct sell and cost prices, attaches the packing slip to the document and sends to Service Administrator for processing.
• Studies all manufacturer’s parts and service bulletins to keep informed of the latest developments in machine design and parts changeovers. Maintains technical knowledge of the repair parts business relating to the products serviced by the shop.
• As required, performs other parts and service duties related to parts expediting.
• Maintains service manual library parts literature and files service bulletins as required.
• Process all shop parts orders promptly with maximum accuracy.
• Other Duties as Assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in parts ordering and working in a shop environment.
• Strong organizational skills
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Valid Hawaii driver’s license
